Rare Beauty
A no brainer really, and technically discovered last year, but they are only just getting started and already more then proven themselves as a company and brand so far. I tried NEARLY every product and am just in LOVE. The quality is there for an EXCELLENT price. The beauty industry often preys on women and their insecurities, but this brand has done an excellent job of praising our individuality and inspiring creativity among every individual. The mental health initiative is also incredible. I continue to look forward to everything that this company does.
AFRM
I discovered this brand through my Rent the Runway shipments. I loved the 70’s boho vibe, and length. I was inspired by my icon Sharon Tate, literally barefoot emulating her, braided hair, light makeup, and my natural fair skin tone. Even as “undone” as I was for this photoshoot, the photos came out great because of the way this dress made me feel:) The images I posted wearing this remain some of my very favorites on my Instagram. Additionally, the brands message is so important. I strongly believe EVERY individual needs words of affirmations even when they say they don’t. However it happens to be one of my love languages, so the details of hiding a little quote in the care tag of every one of their garments is such an incredibly touching detail of their branding. It is also such a quality brand for a great price. I now own FOUR dresses from AFRM with no chance of slowing down!
THE BAR
Finally, my love for The Bar has grown so significantly in the last year. Although the price point is HEAVILY unaffordable for frequenting, it is such a lovely company. It was founded by an insta influencer, whom I actually like a lot. But more importantly, it is such a “girl’s girls” brand. I love the quality and ADORABLE femininity. I also love that it was founded and crafted in my favorite City, New York :) It is OUTSTANDING quality and such a great go to for the “over the top” girly girl for a night out on the town! You know I’ll be casually wearing my opera gloves on a Saturday night out with the girls ;)
